Seated Yoga
During a chair based class we start with a very gentle warm up whilst putting emphasis on breath work. We then go through some basic and very gentle Yoga and Pilates inspired movements to help with improving circulation and promoting better breathing habits. The class is very gentle and we finish off with a lovely relaxing guided meditation. I provide a calming guided meditation that involves deep breathing, visualization, and attention to sound. The idea is to quiet the brain so the residents can rest and relax while in an awake state.
I use tealights, calming music or themed music depending on the meditation and can also use incense to give a fragrant atmosphere.
Meditative Painting
Relaxing Meditative Painting: Combining the therapeutic benefits of art and meditation, our meditative painting classes encourage participants to express their creativity while entering a state of deep relaxation. This practice helps to quiet the mind, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of inner peace.
