Learning Disabilities and Special Needs

Our services are now expanding to those with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.

Yoga Class

We aim to make our classes as fun and as engaging as possible. Our classes consist of different themes were we learn about different countries, cultures and periods of history whilst implementing fun mindfulness practices such as  Yoga and Pilates inspired poses and sequences,

As a rough insight into what a class is like; I start with a gentle warm up, then we move on to the more active part of the class - normally a sequence of Yoga and Pilates inspired postures, followed by some basic balancing postures - great for helping  develop better concentration.

 

We also play games and do quizzes that are designed to help learn and keep all engaged.   We end with a lovely relaxing mindful period at the end where we have the option to close our eyes and gently focus on our breath and also the different sensations we are feeling, this is another great mindfulness practice to help increase focus and calmness and just a great way to end the class.

My classes last roughly for 30 – 45 minutes depending on  requirements.
